For Shelter Tours
Our Terms and Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for using our services. By accessing our platform, you agree to comply with these terms, which cover user responsibilities, privacy, limitations of liability, and other important aspects. Please read them carefully to ensure a clear understanding of your rights and obligations.
Terms of Use
In these terms and conditions, “SOSD” shall mean “SOSD, a society with registration number T12SS0058C, and all its successors in title and assigns.” SOSD may assign all or any part of its rights and obligations herein without restriction.
All participants (“Participants” and each a “Participant”) of an SOSD shelter tour (“Shelter Tour”) understand and agree that the Shelter Tour is conducted on the following terms and conditions.
Group Ticket Holder Agreement
A Participant who has purchased tickets for other Participants (“Group Tickets”) represents and warrants to SOSD that all Participants holding Group Tickets have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Participant Safety Guidelines
Each Participant is aware that a Shelter Tour may involve handling of dogs and this requires exercise of
reasonable care to avoid injury. Each Participant confirms that he/she is voluntarily participating with knowledge of the hazards and potential dangers involved and agree to accept any risks of personal injury and property damage. Adults must be responsible for the safety and good behavior of accompanying children. Each Participant will comply with all guidelines on health and safety whilst on a Shelter Tour. SOSD may terminate a Participant’s participation in a Shelter Tour at any time in its absolute discretion.
Participant Waiver for Shelter Tour
To the fullest extent permitted by law, each Participant shall release, discharge and not hold SOSD, its members, employees and volunteers liable in any way whatsoever for any damage, loss, injury to person or property arising directly or indirectly as a result of or in connection with his/her participation in a Shelter Tour. Each Participant shall indemnify SOSD, its members, employees and volunteers (the “Indemnified Parties”) against any and all claims, demands, proceedings, liabilities, damages, loss, costs and expenses which any of the Indemnified Parties may sustain or incur or which may be brought against any of them by any person and which arises out of or is caused by any act or omission of the Participant during a Shelter Tour.
Health Declaration for Tour Eligibility
Each Participant declares that he/she does not have any physical, medical or health issues or conditions which may limit his/her participation in a Shelter Tour.
Personal Data Consent
Each Participant agrees to SOSD’s collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of his/her personal data (which includes his/her name, address and other details that has been provided to SOSD which concerns him/her as an individual):
- for the administration, management and operations of SOSD such as, volunteers/supporters management and co-ordination, co-ordination and dealings with third parties for fundraising and other event management;
- where required by any law or regulation; and
- for the purpose of providing information which SOSD thinks the Participant may find of interest, and keeping the Participant informed of the programmes and activities of SOSD, (the “Purposes”).
Each Participant agrees that SOSD may disclose his/her personal data to persons within SOSD and any third party, such as service providers, for the Purposes and consent to the use and collection by such third parties of his/her personal data for the Purposes.
Media Consent for SOSD Promotions
Each Participant agrees to his/her participation in a Shelter Tour being photographed or recorded in any media for use for SOSD’s website, Facebook posts, and other digital or printed materials for SOSD’s outreach, education and promotional programs.
