Give a pup a second chance at life and gain a loyal companion! Many of our rescued dogs have had little positive interaction with people, so they need patient, caring owners to help them thrive. Adopting a rescue is one of the most rewarding pet ownership experiences you’ll ever have.
While we provide the best care possible in our shelter and foster homes, our ultimate goal is to find every rescued dog a loving, forever home.
At SOSD, we believe every rescued dog deserves a safe, loving, and permanent home.
A thorough adoption process helps ensure that adopters are ready for the long-term commitment of dog ownership. Dogs, especially rescues, require patience, care, and stability. Through careful screening, we help prevent impulse adoptions, which often lead to dogs being returned or abandoned again.
Our process also ensures that adopters understand the responsibilities of pet ownership, including training, medical care, and lifestyle adjustments.

Pre-Adoption Briefing
Wondering if adopting a Singapore Special is for you? Many of our recent rescues are nervous, skittish and/or fearful with flight and bite risks. To help you understand them better, and to find out what it entails to adopt a dog from SOSD, attend our Pre-Adoption Briefing. We strongly encourage everyone who’s considering to adopt a Singapore Special to attend.
