Tako’s story begins at an abandoned fish farm, where he was left behind several years ago. With limited access and little human interaction, he lived a quiet, isolated life with his brother Yaki until recently, when the area began to undergo demolition by the SLA, cutting off road access and making it unsafe for the animals left behind. Thankfully, Tako was rescued just in time and is now safe with us at the shelter.
He’s still fairly new here and taking his time to adjust, but he’s slowly starting to open up. Though shy at first, Tako’s soft side is beginning to shine especially when treats are involved!
We’re hopeful that with a little love, patience, and encouragement, Tako will continue to make progress and show us more of his sweet personality. He’s on his way to a brighter future, one small step at a time.
