Hoover was rescued after being left behind when the factory moved out. He and his friends were basically abandoned and had been hiding together in the toilet, which thankfully made it easier for the rescuers to get them to safety. Hoover is now safe with us at the shelter, but he is still very shy and quite shut down at the moment. His friend joined us at the shelter the following day, so we’re hoping having a familiar face around will help Hoover feel a little safer and more comfortable. For now, we’ll be giving him plenty of time, patience and space to settle in. Hopefully, as he starts to feel safer, we’ll slowly get to see more of Hoover’s personality and watch him come out of his shell.
