Iron was adopted as a puppy together with his sister, Sherry, to a nursery. Sadly, when the nursery closed down, both dogs were surrendered back to the shelter. Not long after, Sherry passed away suddenly from an illness, leaving Iron on his own. One of our volunteers quickly stepped forward to foster him, and we could see him brighten up almost immediately. He’s been a wonderful boy — eating and drinking well, and settling in beautifully. Iron is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm but is otherwise healthy. He’s a sweet, gentle soul who truly deserves a loving home after everything he’s been through.
