Meet Mira!
Mira is one of the many dogs we rescued from Seatrium Admiralty, and this gentle mama has only recently joined us. Her puppies actually came to us first, and now it’s finally her turn to be showered with all the love and care she deserves. When Mira first arrived, she was understandably a little anxious and unsure around new faces. But as she slowly began to trust us, we discovered what an incredibly sweet and gentle soul she truly is. One thing she absolutely cannot resist? Neck scratches! They instantly melt her into the happiest mama. And of course, Mira is also a huge fan of snacks! Treats are definitely one of the fastest ways to win her heart and help her feel a little braver each day. Mira had never been leash trained before coming to us, and even wearing a collar felt very scary for her. In the beginning, she would quietly retreat to the back of her enclosure whenever we tried. But with patience, gentle encouragement, and lots of collar conditioning, Mira slowly started to understand that she was safe. And before long, she bravely allowed us to put a collar on her! She has also recently started going out for walks. The outside world still feels a little overwhelming for her, so she often pauses just to stand quietly and observe everything around her. It’s her way of learning that the world can be kind and safe too. Mira is taking every little step at her own pace, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come already. We hope that with time, patience, and love, this sweet mama will continue to blossom into the confident, happy girl she’s meant to be.
