The moment Amber she warms up, she’s full of love and big personality. Beneath her cautious nature lies a curious, affectionate girl who adores attention from her favourite humans, especially if belly rubs and treats are involved. She’s playful, intelligent, and has a spark that makes every day feel a little brighter.
Due to family conflicts at home, Amber and her sister Abby were surrendered to our shelter. When she arrived, she was severely underweight and struggling with hidden health challenges. It turns out, she was living with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, but with long-term affordable medication and a managed diet, she is now thriving, energetic and ready for her new home.
Amber is also currently learning to stay calm around other dogs and when left alone at home, and she’s improving too with patience, care and guidance.
She will do best as the only pet in a home with a confident and committed family, who will celebrate her quirks and love her for her big playful heart. In return, she’ll offer endless loyalty, fun, and the kind of companionship that makes every ordinary day feel special.
