Baby came from a factory in Tuas, where he was one of the last remaining dogs. He survived on scraps and bones, and sadly, the workers didn’t pay any attention to him even when he was clearly unwell. Concerned feeders noticed that Baby had stopped eating and was becoming painfully thin. After being taken to the vet, he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, tested positive for ehrlichia, and was found to have a loud heart murmur. It was truly heartbreaking to see him in such discomfort. Baby is now safe with us at the shelter. When he first arrived, he was extremely weak and would simply curl up into a ball. We’ve started him on Hartmann’s solution subcut fluid. Despite everything he has been through, Baby is the sweetest soul. He enjoys short, gentle strolls and loves watching people and other dogs during his walks. He often comes up to us for affection and will even fall asleep in our laps. Baby is incredibly precious, and we truly hope someone will open their heart and home to give him the love and comfort he deserves.
