Esme had puppies, and all of them have since been adopted or placed in foster homes. Sadly, Esme’s own journey has not been an easy one. She came from Tuas, where she was moved from site to site and used for breeding. Eventually, we rescued her, had her spayed, and brought her safely back to the shelter. Esme is a very sweet girl with a gentle nature. She is mostly shy, but she will still accept treats when she is out in the corridor, especially when accompanied by another dog. We also tried bringing her to the dog run with a companion, though she remained quite skittish and unsure of her surroundings. With time, patience, and consistent love, we believe Esme will slowly learn to trust again. She just needs someone willing to give her the space and understanding she deserves, so she can build her confidence and finally open up.
