River was trapped and brought to the shelter a few months ago after the industrial area he used to roam in was closed down. Since arriving, he’s been very shut down and fearful of people, and progress has been slow. We’re continuing to work gently at his pace, helping him feel safe through calm interactions and consistency. With time, patience, and understanding, we hope River will learn to trust humans again and feel comfortable enough to come out of his shell.
