Our eight-year-old son was terrified of dogs after a bad experience a few years ago. We decided the best cure for this was to get our own dog (a bit of a risk). We had heard from friends about all the street dogs in Singapore so we decided to check out a few shelters and see if we could find ourselves a calm older dog. After a few disappointing introductions, we came across Viola (now known as Lola). She just appeared in the office of SOSD after being viewed by another family. We were drawn to her immediately and decided to try a homestay.
