At our Jurong Island shelter, we care for close to 80 dogs, and around 20 strays whom we feed daily, monitor closely, and look out for their wellbeing.
When medical needs arise, we also trap and treat these strays to ensure they receive timely care. Due to strict regulations, members of the public are not allowed to feed dogs on the island, so this responsibility falls entirely on our team—rain or shine. The island’s inaccessibility also means that vehicles are essential for our daily operations and care efforts. Caring for the dogs on Jurong Island is a significant and ongoing commitment. Monthly operational costs average around $16,000, covering staff and manpower, veterinary care, feeding, transportation, shelter maintenance, and necessary repairs and upgrades due to harsh weather and wear and tear, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs.
Your support is crucial.
Every dollar goes towards giving the dogs of Jurong Island the care they deserve!
