Kyson’s story is one of resilience, but also heartbreak. We bailed Kyson out from AVS after learning that he had been in and out of their care couple of times. Before that, his previous family had left him at a boarding facility and never came back for him. Days turned into weeks, and eventually it became clear that Kyson had been abandoned. He was then brought in by AVS, and that’s when we stepped in to give him another chance. Despite everything he has been through, Kyson remains an incredibly sweet and loving boy. He’s also very smart and knows several commands like sit, down, paw, and even bang. He learns quickly. Kyson can be a little reactive around strangers at first, which is understandable considering his past. But once he feels safe, he shows just how affectionate and loyal he truly is. He also has a habit of barking when he sees people entering his unit not out of aggression, but because he simply can’t contain his excitement. Kyson has so much love to give. All he needs now is a patient and understanding family who will see his wonderful heart and promise him something he has never truly had a loving home that will never abandon him again.
