Cute and spunky Benji may be a senior, but his zest for life hasn’t slowed one bit. He’s happiest when close to humans, following them around the house, curling up beside them on the sofa, and twirling in excitement whenever it’s time for a walk.
Like many loving Velcro pups, Benji’s still learning that being alone isn’t the end of the world, but he is making progress and will thrive with patient humans who can reassure him. Raised voices and sudden gestures can make him nervous too, so he’ll do best in a calm environment with someone attuned to his cues to avoid bite accidents when he is spooked. He’s also on simple daily liver and joint supplements to keep him happy and healthy.
Once Benji feels safe, his love runs deep. With time and understanding, he gives back tenfold – the kind of loyalty that makes every effort worthwhile.
