Meet Donut! This sweet girl was rescued alongside another dog from a nursery after both were believed to have been hit by a vehicle, possibly a lorry, sometime in July. Sadly, Donut suffered a fractured front leg and was seen wandering, unable to bear weight on her injured limb. Despite everything she’s endured, she hasn’t let it take away her gentle and loving spirit. Donut is incredibly trusting of people, happily accepts pets, and is always wagging her tail with excitement whenever it’s time to head outside. She’s already a pro at walking on a leash! For now, we’re keeping her walks short so she can rest her injured leg and recover properly. We hope the person responsible for hitting Donut and her companion will be identified, so that accountability can follow and no other animals have to suffer the same fate. With plenty of love, rest, and care, we’re hopeful Donut will make a full recovery and soon find the forever home she truly deserves. We can’t wait for the day this sweet girl gets to leave her difficult past behind and start the happy new chapter she’s been waiting for.
